Prophet Olagunroye Faleyimu of Mountain of Miracles and Blessings, Ibogun, Ifo, Ogun state has reacted on the introduction of Corporate And Allied Matters Act(CAMA) into religious circuit in Nigeria which has been generating heated arguments between the Federal Government (FG) and some christian leaders since it was signed into law by President Muhammadu Buhari, on August 7, 2020. He added that the law has come to stay as there's nothing anybody or religious group can do about it.
Speaking with Opera News on Friday, August 20, 2020, the famous seer who had predicted months back that the FG would infiterate into churches and mosques with a that may be considered draconian to some religious leaders, but that won't stop the government from implementing it. He, however, blamed it on the flamboyant lifestyles of some religious leaders who are busy chasing worldly materials, instead of real salvation via undiluted evangelism and ministration.
The Owo, Ondo born clergy spoke further, " Introduction of the reviewed Corporate And Allied Matters Act which now applies to churches and mosques shouldn't be a surprise to Nigerians because I have said it months back that a time would come that government will be controlling the Affairs of churches and mosques through a law which may lead to protest, especially by some christian leaders, but their protest will end as a mere exercise in futility.
"The way some religious leaders, especially some pastors display wealth, acquiring this and that all in the name of religion is enough to tell the government that religious activities have been turned into business. The main targets of some pastors are tithes and offerings. And it's wrong to be extorting the poor for your personal benefit as a man of God. We could all see what happened during the COVID-19 lockdown when some pastors were even instructing their followers to pay their tithes online which shows that the reason they opened their churches is mainly to rake in money from their followers for their personal upliftment. Imagine pastors aspiring to driving the latest cars, flying private jets, acquiring mansion. So, they don't see religion as anything, but business. So, if they're taxes, whose fault?
"Now, when the COVID-19 problem started, where are the miracle pastors? What have they done on it? Did any of them see it coming?
"Anointed prophets of God are usually blessed , they don't chase wealth. Most prophets in the Bible and the Qur'an were either farmers or animal rearers, they're not wealthy but they're contented with what God has given them. That's how a real man of God should be. But here in Nigeria, the reverse is the case.
"It's in Nigeria you see those calling themselves men of God fraternizing with the government because of money. How will they be able to tell the government the truth? And over 70% of Nigerian religious leaders belong to one secret society or the other, and they're still praying for the country. That's why the nation is still in a big doom at the moment. God asked me to stop praying for the country because the more we pray, the more the hardship continue because almost all religious leaders, christians and Muslims alike are in darkness so also those in government. That's why the country is not moving forward. And until 2023 when the God's anointed man( Messaih) takes over, nothing can change.
Most pastors people and those in government are referring to as prophets are not prophets, but teachers. For instance, Adeboye, Kumuyi, Tunde Bakare, Oyedepo, Oyakhilome and others are just teachers, but Adeboye remains the most experienced of them all. He's a fantastic teacher, but not a prophet. Also, T B Joshua is not an anointed prophet of God. There's a difference between an anointed prophet and ordinary prophet. And anointed prophet is usually chosen by God Himself, but T B Joshua asked for it. And those are the ones the government is seeing as small gods."
On what will happen if the law takes full effect on churches and mosques despite the protest by some pastors, Faleyimu said, " There's nothing anybody can do about it. I think you also read the reply of FG to Oyedepo's protest on it? So, nothing can shift government's decision on that. Even Buhari's administration won't be able to use the Act well on churches and mosques until the coming of another administration when the money acrued from tithes and offerings will be divide into two. A part will also be shared between the state and the FG. The government will even go as far as proscribing churches and mosques for a while to pave way for peace."
