As the coronavirus (COVID-19) lockdown continues in Abuja, Lagos and later Ogun, a video of a man allegedly killed by police officers in Abuja on Wednesday has emerged, THE MESSAGE INTERNATIONAL reports.
According to unconfirmed reportstrending online, the deceased went out to buy food for his pregnant wife during the lockdown when some police officers enforcing compliance accosted him.
It was learnt that despite explanations by the deceased, the police started beating him till he collapsed and died.
Efforts by THE MESSAGE INTERNATIONAL to reach the Force Public Relations Officer, DCP Frank Mba for comments proved futile as his mobile line was not reachable as at press time.
