SIR SHINA PETERS EULOGISES QUEEN AYO BALOGUN AT 62

Juju Maestro, Sir Shina Peters (SSP), has eulogised president of the Association of Juju Musicians of Nigeria (AJUMN), Queen Ayotunde Kofoworola BALOGUN, describing the Ilesa, Osun born entertainment queen as an epitome of humility and a leader per excellence.
He said this at LASCOFIS pavilion, WEMCO Road, Ogba, Lagos on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 during an event organized by the Lagos chapter of the association under the leadership of Bolaji Ademola to celebrate the hugely talented singer who clocked 62 that same day.
According to SSP, " Queen Ayo Balogun is not only our president, but a mother in all ramifications. She is a humble and charismatic leader who has changed the destiny of AJUMN for the better. She has rewritten the history of the association since becoming the president about 10 years ago. We all love you, our amiable leader. And we wish you long life and prosperity in sound health."
Balogun who also thrilled the guests on request by the management of LASCOFIS used the medium to appreciate God for sparing her life till her present age as a lot had happened in the past which, perhaps, might have turned story otherwise, but with God on her side; she's still kicking and bouncing, waxing stronger in her career even at 62.
"I give God the glory for who I am today and for sparing my life to celebrate another birthday today. If not Him, there wouldn't have been Ayo Balogun today. The history might have changed for a lot of things had happened in the past.
"I also appreciate all the members of AJUMN nationwide, especially the Lagos wing for the honour bestowed on me today. God will continue to be with them. I am happy and excited for the kind of love I enjoy from you all. I am also grateful to all my fans, home and abroad because without them, there can't be Ayo Balogun."
The event also attracted a couple of other notable faces in the genre, including Gentleman Dele Taiwo, Champion Kunle Opio Abel Dosumu (Mega 99), Sammy Melody and others.
