Despite the myraid criticisms that greeted the continued detention of National Security Adviser(NSO) to former president Goodluck Jonathan, Cool Sambo DASUKI and convener of #revolutionNow and publisher of Sahara Reporters magazine, Comrade Omoyele Sowore despite court order demanding the release of the duo of Dasuki and Sowore and others who suffered similar fate in the hands of the Department of State Service(DSS), Federal Government (FG) via its spokesperson, Garba Sheu, has insisted the action of the presidency was in accordance with the rule of law and that the government has done nothing wrong in keeping them in detention even if the court of law has set them free because no individual right is bigger and more important than the security of the country as a whole.
"The government is not compromising anything", Garba Sheu said at an interview on Channels Television programme hours ago.
"The decision to keep them in detention was strongly founded in the law. The government had done nothing extra-judicial in holding Dasuki and Sowore in detention," he insisted.
