Residents Rubbish Ambode's Cleaner Lagos Initiative

Millions of Lagos state residents are very angry at the moment. And that's not far fetched.

This, the message international.blogspot. com can reveal authoritatively, was not unconnected with the poor implementation of the Cleaner Lagos Initiative (CLI) introduced by Governor Akinwunmi Ambode almost a year ago. The project,  Lagosians described as a failed one even from inception.

Despite the withdrawal of the CLI waste bins from major roads and streets, the sites left behind still remain disgusting.

Not only that, they're also capable of spreading health hazards among the residents of the state designated as Centre of Excellence as indiscriminate dumping of refuse in those spots still continues.

Checks by our reporter revealed that Lagosians are not happy with the number one person in  the state, Mr Ambode.  They therefore called on the action governor to work towards doing the needful on the issue before very late, if only to guarantee him  second term in office as Executive Governor of the state.

"We're fed up of Ambode's Cleaner Lagos Initiative, it is a total rubbish. "

The policy is being poorly implemented. It has even failed from inception. You can go round the whole of  the state, everywhere is even dirtier than ever. We don't even know the difference between when the waste bins were on the roads and streets and now that they have been withdrawn because people don't stop bringing refuse to those places. Governor Ambode should act fast to avoid creating problems for himself in 2019 governorship election  in the state," an aggrieved  Lagosian fumed.
