SAD! TRAGEDY AS ABDUCTED TEACHER IN OYO KILLED!

 

 A tragic report has confirmed that Mr Michael Oyedokun, one of the abducted teachers in Orire local government in Oyo state has been killed by suspected bandits inside the Old Oyo National Park.

Sources disclosed that the abductors held him for days before executing him. The development has thrown the entire community into deep mourning and renewed fear over rising insecurity in the region.

Residents described the incident as painful and unacceptable. Many said the situation reflects the growing threat of armed groups operating within forest reserves.

“This is painful. We keep losing innocent people while insecurity keeps spreading unchecked.”

Security concerns have now escalated as reports suggest that armed groups continue to operate within forest corridors around the Old Oyo National Park.

Meanwhile, Nigerian citizens have called on both the state and Federal Governments to take urgent action. They demanded stronger security operations, improved intelligence gathering, and full accountability on security vote allocations and spending.

Analysts say repeated attacks in rural and forest communities highlight serious gaps in Nigeria’s internal security architecture.

Oyo governor,  Eng Seyi Makinde has confirmed the ugly incident,  assuring  the affected community and the whole of the state that the perpetrators of the dastardly acts will be fished out in no time as six suspects believed to be running logistics for the bandits within the vicinity have been apprehended by security operatives.
