On account of eligibility controversy surrounding Nollywood star, Honourable Foluke Daramola Salako who vied for Oshodi/Isolo House of Reps ticket in the just concluded All Progressives Congress (APC) primaries in Lagos State, her media team has cleared the air, putting the records straight that the hugely talented entertainer turned politician is more than qualified being a fully and duly registered member of the party in the constituency where she's equally been actively involved in its development and politics for close to three decades.
Below are the details of statement as sent to The Message International on Sunday, May 24, 2026 by Daramola Salako's Media and Publicity Directorate Office:
"Hon. Foluke Daramola-Salako has been part of the progressive politics in Oshodi/Isolo Constituency I for many years.
Alhaji Musiliu Ayinde Akinsanya, one of the leaders of the party and many other leaders in Oshodi, can testify to this fact.
In 2021, Foluke and her husband, Hon. Olukayode Salako, were part of the 12-man Campaign Directorate of the current Chairman of Oshodi/Isolo Local Government, Otunba Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede.
"Together, they worked tirelessly for the success of his election, delivering more than 10 polling units in the Ewu/Ogunoloko political wards, where they operate.
"Indeed, Foluke became actively involved in Oshodi/Isolo politics, even before her husband fully joined the political structure in the constituency.
"In 2014, shortly after the formation of the All Progressives Congress (APC), she registered as a member, alongside her husband on Bode Onifade Avenue, under Ogunoloko Ward.
"Again, during the 2021 party membership re-registration exercise, she renewed her membership with her husband.
"In 2026, during the latest APC membership re-registration, both of them re-registered on Oba Elewu Way (formerly Popoola Street) in Ewu Ward.
Bode Onifade Avenue is a popular street in Ewu Town, although politically it falls under Ogunoloko Ward.
It is also the same street where Hon. Salako and his wife have operated their school, Bosworth College International, for many years.
"As indigenes and residents of Ewu, they chose to re-register this year in Ewu Ward to correct the earlier political ward location anomaly.
Hon. Foluke Daramola-Salako has remained visibly active and prominent in Oshodi/Isolo Constituency I politics, since the days of AD, AC, and ACN.
"For the past 29 years, that she has actively been involved in politics, she has remained a loyal follower and committed supporter of President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and the progressive political family in Nigeria.
