LAGOS APC GUBER ASPIRANT, SAMUEL AJOSE WITHDRAWS FROM RACE, ENDORSES HAMSAT

 

A frontline governorship aspirant in Lagos, Samuel Ajose, popularly called SMA Gold, has withdrawn from the race, barely 48 hours before the All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial primary in the state.

Aside from that, Ajose has concluded plans to endorse the incumbent deputy governor, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, who is the Lagos APC consensus candidate for the 2027 election in Lagos.

The aspirant stepped down from the race after a meeting with President Bola Tinubu, who is the national leader of the ruling party, at his residence in Lagos.

On Tuesday, sources from the Villa disclosed that the meeting lasted a little long, with a strong assurance from the President that Ajose would be rewarded for his loyalty to the APC.
