The Nigerian-born World former Heavyweight champion, Anthony Joshua, was involved in a ghastly autocrash in Sagamu, along Lagos-Ibadan Express Road, Ogun State, on Monday, December 29, 2025.
Tragically, two people said to be his trainers and team mates lost their lives on the spot. Anthony Joshua sustained minor injuries and is said to be in stable condition.
Anthony Joshua reportedlysurrounded by rescuers at the accident scene, was said to be highly devastated by the ugly incident which happened barely 24 hours of his arrival in Nigeria for vacation.
Emergency responders and security personnel were said to have arrived shortly after the crash to manage the situation and commence investigations.
Fans have flooded social media with messages of concern, while local authorities continue to investigate the cause of the fatal accident which many believed could be due to over speeding as the SUV transporting the former heavyweight champion and others reportedly collided with a stationary truck
