TMI: Good afternoon, Honourable Babatunde. Congratulations on throwing your hat into the ring for the Oyo Assembly Seat, Ogbomoso North.
OLAOGUN: Thank you! I am excited to be here. I believe I am the best candidate for the job, and I'm ready to serve my people.
TMI: Alright, let's dive in. What makes you think you're the best candidate for Ogbomoso North?
Olaogun: Simple. I've got the vision, the passion, and the experience to make a real difference in our community. I have worked tirelessly to improve the lives of our people, and I'm committed to taking that same energy to the assembly.
TMI: That's a bold claim. What specific plans do you have for Ogbomoso North?
Olaogun: Ah, plenty! First, I want to focus on job creation and economic empowerment. We need to attract investors, create opportunities for our youth, and support small businesses. I also plan to improve our healthcare system, education, and infrastructure.
TMI: Interesting. How do you plan to address the issue of insecurity in Ogbomoso North?
Olaogun: That's a top priority. I will work with security agencies, community leaders, and stakeholders to ensure our people feel safe and protected. We would increase surveillance, provide support for victims of crime, and create opportunities for our youth to stay engaged and focused.
TMI: What sets you apart from other candidates?
Olaogun: My track record speaks for itself. I have delivered results in my previous roles, not just as a public servant but as an entrepreneur and I am ready to bring that same dedication to the assembly. I am not just a politician; I am a servant leader who puts the people first.
TMI: Good, let's continue. How do you plan to engage with the youth and vulnerable populations in Ogbomoso North?
Olaogun: I am all about inclusivity. Bear in mind that I am a youth myself. I'd set up town hall meetings, focus groups, and social media platforms to hear the voices of our people and address their concerns accordingly.
TMI: What's your stance on the current state of education in Ogbomoso North?
Olaogun: Honestly, we're not where we should be. I'd push for more resources, better infrastructure, and training for our teachers to ensure our kids get quality education. Infact, in the next couple of days, plans are in place to assist children in primary schools with tools to aid their learning.
TMI: How would you handle disagreements or conflicts within the assembly or with the executive?
Olaogun: I'd approach it with an open mind, listen to all sides, and seek common ground. I'm a team player, and I believe we can achieve more through collaboration.
TMI: What role do you see for women and marginalized groups in your administration?
Olaogun: They'll have a seat at the table, period. I'd ensure equal opportunities and representation, and push for policies that benefit them.
TMI: How do you plan to attract investors and create jobs in Ogbomoso North?
Olaogun: I'd promote public-private partnerships, streamline bureaucratic processes, and provide incentives for businesses to thrive here.
TMI: What's your take on the current healthcare infrastructure in Ogbomoso North?
Olaogun: It's inadequate. I'd upgrade facilities, sponsor bills to enable the executive recruit more medical personnel, and make healthcare more accessible and affordable.
TMI: How would you address concerns around transparency and accountability in government?
Olaogun: I'd establish an open-door policy, regular town halls, and ensure we are transparent in our dealings. My record shows I'm committed to accountability at all times.
TMI: Can you tell us about your experience working with community organizations and stakeholders?
Olaogun: I have worked with numerous groups, and I understand the importance of community-driven initiatives. I'd amplify their efforts and support their projects.

TMI: You've mentioned you are the best candidate for the job, but what specific skills and experiences make you stand out from the rest?
Olaogun: Thank you for asking. My educational exposure, 25 years of practical experience in public service, entrepreneurship, students unionism, coupled with my proven track record of delivering results, make me the ideal candidate. I have successfully led projects, managed teams, and driven positive change in my previous roles. I am confident my leadership skills, strategic thinking, and ability to build consensus will enable me to effectively represent Ogbomoso North.
TMI: But don't you think your lack of experience in the assembly will hinder your ability to navigate the complexities of state politics?
Olaogun: Actually, I see my fresh perspective as a strength. I will bring new ideas and energy to the table, unencumbered by the status quo. I have studied the system, and I'm ready to learn and collaborate with seasoned lawmakers to drive progress for our constituency.
TMI: What makes you think you can connect with the diverse population of Ogbomoso North and understand their unique challenges?
Olaogun: As a son of the soil, I have seen firsthand the struggles and triumphs of our community. I understand the nuances of our culture and the importance of empathy and inclusivity. I'll engage with all stakeholders, listen to their concerns, and work tirelessly to address them.
TMI: How do you respond to critics who say you're not ready for the role and lack the necessary expertise?
Olaogun: I'd say they're entitled to their opinion, but I'm not a politician by chance. I have prepared myself for this moment. I learnt very well and graduated from the Asiwaju's School of Politics. I am an integral part of the electioneering processes that made Asiwaju governor, twice in Lagos State. My experience, skills, and passion for public service make me more than ready. I'm not just an everyday or regular candidate; I am a servant leader, and I am ready to put in the work to deliver results for Ogbomoso North.
