Senator Aishatu Dahiru Binani has made history as the first female in Nigeria to be elected as Governor of a state.
This followed her declaration as the official winner, of the Adamawa governorship election by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, this Sunday morning.
The Resident Electoral Commissioner for the state, Barrister Hudu Yunusa made the declaration following the supplementary election.
Senator Aishatu Dahiru Binani is thus the Governor-elect for Adamawa state.
