The Message International reports that the governor of Zamfara state, Bello Mohammed Matawalle has officially defected to the All Progressive Congress(APC) today, Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at an event held in Zamfara state.
And to officially perfect the defection process, he was welcomed by 18 APC governors and other important personalities in the party.
His defection is coming days after speculations became strong that he has taken a decision to leave the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP).
Also, Matawalle's defection has made the former governor of the state, Abubakar Yari reconcile with him as he also reportedly declared his support for him.
