MAN REMANDED FOR BEATING HIS WIFE TO STUPOR OVER SEX DENIAL

INFIGHTING AND INFIDELITY

 

A 33-year old man, Henry Okorie, has displayed his boxing prowess in Lagos on his wife, Ngozi, as he knocked her down with blows during a public fight over sex.

SCOPENEWS, reports that the fight took place on July 6,  2020 at Mafo Close, off Abeokuta Street, Yaya Abatan in Ogba area of Lagos where they reside.

The suspect, Henry, has been arrested and charged before the Court for the assault on his wife, Ngozi and was remanded in the correctional centre for the alleged offence.

According to their neighbours, Henry has been having issues with his wife over an undisclosed matter to the extent that he complained that Ngozi does not give him attention talk less of allowing him to touch her.

On the day the incident happened, it was gathered that they started having issue at night which led to a fight. In the process, he reportedly give her blows, she fell and sustained injuries. Their neighbours, who were present, went inside and rescued Ngozi.But by then,  she had already sustained injuries.

The matter was reported at Area G Command, Ogba, Lagos; Henry was arrested and later charged before Ogba Magistrates Court for the alleged offence.
He pleaded not guilty. The prosecutor, Kehinde Ajayi, then asked the Court to give a date for trial so that the Police will prove that he actually committed the offence.
The presiding Magistrate, Mrs. A.O.Ajibade, granted him bail in the sum of N50,000 with one surety in like sum.
He was remanded in custody pending when he will perfect his bail conditions while the matter was adjourned till 7th September, 2020.
