The spokesperson of the state command, Ajayi Okasanmi, saidthe suspect is currently cooling his heels in their custody while the investigation is ongoing on the matter.
Alujo was accused of raping the girl hawking puff-puff on the 31st of May, 2020.
Reports said Alujo allegedly lured the girl, after buying puff-puff from her, into his room and had forceful carnal knowledge of her without her consent.
He was said to have enticed her with a mobile phone and promised to take care of her education.
According to the report, the victim turned down the sexual advances of the suspect, in the process, she was allegedly overpowered by the suspect.
The man in the eye of the storm, Alujo has since denied the allegation with a claim that it’s the hand-work of his enemies seeking his downfall.
Families of the victim had earlier reported the matter at the palace of Olojoku of Ojoku where the ugly incident took place.
The matter was later reported at the Ilemona Police station which resulted in the arrest of the suspect and subsequent transfer to the state Police command headquarters for further investigation
