Some angry women Opera News spoke to on the issue specifically spit venom, raining abuses and curse on the two suspects. They equally blamed the girl's parents for being careless with their daughter.

"It's immoral for a father of that age to be raping a teenager and is also a great of fence that shouldn't go unpunished under the law. To even worsen it, it's a conspiracy between father and son. The man should be ashamed. It would have been better if it's his son only, but he's also involved. They just took the advantage of the carelessness of the girl's parents for neglecting their daughter if not, they wouldn't have gone that far before the whole thing will be exposed. But thank God they have been arrested, the rest now lies in the hand of the government to do the needful."-Mrs CHIZOM ONYEACHI
"What both of them committed was an abomination in the first place. No doubt, they will see the repercussion apart from the fact that they will still feel the wrath of the law. If his son was being childish, he should be the one to correct him, but he's also involved in the crime. At 62, he should be ashamed of himself. If police carry out their investigations on the matter and find out the man was also involved, he should face the wrath of the law in a tougher way than that of his son. The girl too is slack, and maybe she has been hypnotized those criminals before she finally came back to her senses. Where were her parents when all these things were happening? "I was shocked when I heard it this morning, it's incredible. Both the father and his son are useless human being. The fact that the girl mentioned the two of them has proved that they were both involved. I don't think the man has any female child, that's why he's that so wicked. God will surely punish them apart from the punishment here on earth unless they repent. They have ruined the life of the little girl. "Wonders shall never end. I think what's happening now is always a sign of end time. If not, what could have attracted the old man from that little girl who is even much younger than his stupid son who he joined in committing the rape until the girl was pregnant? Who will now claim the paternity of the child after birth? So, I wonder why human beings are like this. As an elderly person, he's supposed to be a role model. See how how he has disgraced himself and his entire family. They should be brought to book. And their case should not be delayed so as to teach others lesson. I can't pity them at all.
