K1 PUNCTURES CRITICS FURTHER ON ALLEGED ROMANCE WITH ALAAFIN'S WIFE

Surely, the social media has been awash for the past few days with the stories of an alleged romance between the Mayegun of Yoruba land and king of Fuji, Alhaji Wasiu Ayinde Olasunkanmi Anifowose, better addressed as K1, and Alaafin of Oyo, His Royal Majesty, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi 111's youngest wife, Olori Badirat Adeyemi which reportedly led to the sacking of the latter from the palace by the Iku Baba Yeye when the tale started brewing.
The news has since been generating mixed reactions from different quarters, especially among the Yoruba and addicted fans of the famous musicians. While some believed K1 knows tradition and on account of his close relationship with Alaafin who recently confered on him the exalted title of Mayegun of Yoruba land, he couldn't do that, some are still insisting there's nothing impossible under heaven K1 being an entertainer who has allegedly dated many women.
This, however, informed a swift reaction by the Fuji lord, via his media adviser, Kunle Rasheed who described the tale as a malicious and fictitious rumour from the enemies' camp just in an attempt to malign the widely celebrated entertainer.
In a related manner, K1 has personally come out to debunk the tale, describing it as mischievous and wicked.
In the statement the music icon released on Friday, April 17, 2020, and titled, 'TROUBLE LIES WITH THE HEAD THAT BEARS THE CROWN', it could be dedicated that he has accepted the rumour, though weight, as part of the prize of his new status as first Mayegun of Yoruba land, but felt disappointed that some people can still be planning roll backward the hands of clock by back-stabbing his person.
The statement read, "This I understand the very first time the idea if becoming the first Mayegun of Yoruba land was muted to me.
Anything first must surely be a trouble shooting responsibility and one must either accept or shy away from it. Should we say all of us must run away from playing roles that will bring about succour, peace and renewal of hope to the generality ofour people?
While seeking advice from much older people around me before stepping forward for the honor, and old friend of mine once reminded me of the enormous responsibilities and the back-stabbing that come with the assignment, especially in a society like ours. NIGERIA I HAIL THEE!
This sort of prepared me for all forms of back-stabbings and game playing will surface during preparations for the installation and even when I am fully seated.
"I bought the guidance of the Almighty God, the blessings of my mother and support of all the people that matter in the society. Many royal palaces were visited to seek their approval and blessings because it's an assignment, not just a cap to enable me see myself above my people.
My own father, The Awujale of Ijebu land said to me while giving his blessings when I took the letter from Baba Akaafin to him.
"This is the first time in the history that a good thing will come from the nation of Yoruba to us the Ijebus since our days of longstanding relationship if many centuries in the past." The Or is a Ijebu now warned me to be a good representative of the Ijebuland in that assignment because it is indeed a very big one for that matter.
Also, the Imperial Majesty, in his words to me, revealed the bond of love between himself and Baba Alaafin. He thanked God for me as the chosen one for the great job and he offered a little of prayers for my success.
The installation ceremony was well athletes by people from all walks of life. The good people of Oyo received us with open arms to the ancient city on my day of honour, with prayers and full of admiration for the sacred institution.
Now, how can anyone be praying for my downfall?
I know that while many were in jubilating, some enemies of progress were bitter that what they had prevented from happening for almost 11 years past has finally come to pass. I also understand that 'OSAN TO PON LARAYE N SOGI FUN'(writes in Yoruba), but not to the point of lying against my person.
Accusing me of desecration of the royal house is too wicked for anyone to wish for me.
"People behind this surely know themselves and I am sure by now they will be biting their fingers once again for a failed plot in bringing God's own down.
Today, If I chose not to take you haters to court for redress, your group has already been condemned in the people's court. I seek justice only from God Almighty. Accepting my choice as Mayegun of Yoruba land is not the only thing I am asking everyone for, but to change our ways for good and not be enemies of the land.
"I want to appreciate all the good people that stood up for me on this matter ever since the race started and up to this point. May the guidance of the Almighty God never be far away from you all. I can't that you all enough".
