Since the news broke on Sunday, February 2, 2020 of a house wife, Shukurat Olufowobi who beat her stepson, Azeem Olufowobi to death in Ogijo, Shagamu area of Ogun state, concerned parents, especially women have been raining curses and abuses on the callous woman, condemning her devilsh act in totality.
According to Olajunmoke Adesina, a teacher in a private school in Lagos state, "The woman is wicked, and should be made to face full wrath of the law. I learnt she doesn't have any child yet for the man, maybe that's why she Killed the boy. Had it been she had experienced child birth, she wouldn't have killed other woman's child no matter the offence of the boy. She should be duly prosecuted."
Another concerned woman, Patricia Obina also lampooned Shukurat, adding that she should be charged for murder without any further delay.
"The woman didn't do well at all. Why the need to beat the boy on the head with heavy object in the first place? And after the deal had been done, she will then blame her ungodly act on the devil. Fine, the boy might have provoked her but that notwithstanding, she shouldn't have behaved that way. Now, I am sure she will be regretting her action. I think she should face murder charge to serve as deterrent to others. Her husband should also be charged for conspiracy.
In her reaction, Hajia Hassan Zainab said, "I was rudely shocked when I heard the news. I couldn't just imagine why a woman can do that to her stepson. That's sheer wickedness, and she should pay heavily for it. She and her husband are wicked."
