CONFIRMED! HAKEEM AJASA NOW ONIRU-DESIGNATE

It seems the coast is now clear as regards the controversies that have brewed on who becomes the next Oniru of Iru land, Lagos,  between Hakeem Oriyomi Ajasa and Olusegun Oniru as the former seemed to have enjoyed the blessings of the elders from Abisogun ruling house and Lagos Traditional Institution.

 

Ajasa a man of unequalled feat in the royal tussle, days back, was presented by Chief Kashimawo Bello to the heads of Omowunmi,  Ewumi, Omisade and Oresanya families which constitute Abisogun ruling house.

 

However, following the presentation, Ajasa's name will be officially forwarded to the Lagos state government by the officials of Iru/Victoria Island. Then, according to a family source, Ajasa will proceed to a seclusion house(Ipebi) where he will complete his corronation rites in accordance with tradition after official proclamation by the state government.

 

"No more controversy as regards who emerges the authentic Oniru-designate. Hakeem Ajasa has been picked, and we're all happy about the development. It's not Segun Oniru as being bandied. 

"In fact, we have reached the climax of the preparation for his installation. Soon as the state government stamps the blue paper, we're surely good to go."

Ajasa, an illustrous son from Abisogun dynasty attended Lagos University where obtained a Bsc in Politii Science. He also attended Osun State University where he obtained Mastery Degree in Intelligence and Strategic studies.

 

Ajasa joined the  Nigeria Police in 2004 as a Cadet and was commissioned and posted to Kano state Police Command where he rose through the ranks to become District Police Officer( DPO). He was later moved to the anti fraud section as sectional head, Criminal Investigation  Department ( CID), Panti, Yaba, Lagos. After a while, he was deployed to the Lagos state government house as the second-in-command to the Chief Security Officer to the then governor, Babatunde Raji Fashola.

In 2010, Ajasa was posted to the State of Osun as Aide-de-camp to then governor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola.

 

However, in February 2019, he was posted to Force Headquarters in Lagos as the commander, Police Mobile Force 22, Ikeja. The Oniru-designate was later deployed for a more sensitive assignment as the Chief Personal Security Officer (CPSO) to the speaker of House of Representatives, Rt Hon, Akeem Gbajabiamila. 

 

However, all other things being equal, the new Oniru-designate will be ascending the throne of his forefathers any time in the first quarter of 2020
