IMAM SA'DULLAH BELLO SUES FOR PEACE AS TAHAJUD CONGREGATIONS, OLUWOLE-OGBA CENTRAL MOSQUE CELEBRATES HIJRA

On Saturday, September 7, 2019, Tahajud Congratulations, Ogba-Oluwole Central Mosque, Ogba, Lagos under the spiritual leadership of Chief Imam, Sheikh SA'DULLAH Bello,  celebrated Islamic calendar (Hijra 1441) which its first month(Muharram) started on Saturday, August 31, 2019.
The celebration which was the 10th edition since the emergence of Sheikh Bello as Chief Imam and spiritual head of the mosque was hugely successful as it attracted a lot of Muslim faithful from far and near, especially members of the mosque who were all garbed in white dresses and some with customized T-shirts and veils for the women.

The historical occasion which featured visitations to many members of the Muslim communities in the vicinity and beyond also created more awareness for the arrival of the Islamic new year. It was also an atmosphere to show love even to non-muslims in the area.
In his address, Imam Bello thanked Almighty Allah, those that identified with the programme and members of the congregation for the success of this year's Hijra celebration.
The humble and knowledgeable scholar also enjoined all Nigerians to embrace peace to ensure unity in diversity.

"I am particularly concerned about the oneness of our dear country which is being threatened by religious and tribal sentiments, especially as it was demonstrated in Rivers State recently by  Governor Iyesom Wike by ordering the demolition of a central mosque in Port Harcourt recently. He
should remember he's a governor, not ordinary indigen of the state. Therefore, he stands as a father to all, and he represents all the people in the state with their beliefs. So, demolishing a mosque which was legally built was a signal to the fact that he hates Muslims in the state which is not supposed to be so.

"He should remember that indigens of his state who are predominantly Christian's also live in other parts of the country. We should all learn to be tolerant of one another. That's when we can co-exist peacefully."

Also,  corroborating Bello was former judge of the High Court and Baba Adini of the mosque, Hon Justice Ibrahim Isola Olorunnimbe(Rtd) who advised Muslims not to relent in showcasing the virtues of their religion by embarking on meaningful programmes, including Hijra celebration which started with the movement of Prophet Muhammed from Mecca to Medina.
The one time chairman of Nigeria Bar Association ( NBA) also enjoined muslims nationwide to abstain from bad deeds and embrace good ones which is one of the significances of the new Islamic calendar.
