Musa Mohammed was born to Mr. & Mrs. Mohammed on the 6th day of January, 1976 in a village called Agbede in Edo State.Brought up by a single parent (mother); at the age of 5, his mother noticed some rashes on his skin and treated it like normal rashes would be treated, but the rashes started developing into tumours as he grew older.
In 2004, he was diagnosed of a cancerous skin disease called ‘Squamous Cell Carcinoma of the Skin’ at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH), Idi-Araba, Lagos.
He has undergone two surgeries to remove these tumours; one of which has claimed his left eye as he no longer visualize with it.
Since the rashes keep developing into tumours, contact has been made with a hospital in India by name Fortis Hospital Vasant Kunj, New Delhi. An estimated cost of N8.5M (Eight Million, Five Hundred Thousand Naira Only) would be needed to carry out the surgery.
Family members have being seeking financial assistance from the public ever since in order to enable him go for the surgery abroad, but all to no avail.
This is why the family has resorted to seeking the help/support of media house(s) to assist in whatever capacity to solicit assistance from the general public in order to save his life as he is about losing the only eye he has left.
Musa does not want to die, he wants to be able to live a normal life and fend for myself.
Aside God, there is no other person for him to run to.
