On Tuesday, October 16, 2018 when former Ekiti governor, Ayodele Fayose submitted himself to the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) in its office in Abuja, the controversial politician thought it's going to end in a political memo drama and abracadabra when he showed up in a customised T-shirt with inscription, EFCC I'M HERE, not knowing he is likely to rotten in jaij unless his counsels can perform magic to bring him out of the present predicament over an alleged involvement in the sharing of 4.6 b loot distributed by former Security Adviser to former president Good luck Jonathan, Col Sambo Dasuki(rtrd) who has been in jail since the beginning of President Muhammadu Buhari's administration.
Fayose, who has been denying knowing anything about the huge sum was said to have been dump- founded when the anti graft body tabled before him all charges against him with evidence to substantiate its allegations.
However, the Ekiti born 'activist' cum politician was later charged to court by the EFCC to enable him enjoy fair trial as part of his fundamental rights as a citizen of Nigeria and in line with the United Nations(UN) recommendations in its human right charter.
The case was moved to Federal High Court in Image result for ayodele fayose in court after the first sitting in Abuja as demanded by his counsels. It was adjourned to Wedsday, October 25, 2018 when the court finally granted him bail, but with stiff conditions.
Fayose was asked to go home if only he could meet and perfect his bails conditions which is very unlikely as they involve a surety with a three- year tax clearance in Lagos and with landed property, also in Lagos after a bond of N50 m might have been paid. The person must also submit his International passport to the court pending the time the trial lasts.
A source that squealed to the messageinternatiinal.blogspot.com told us that the former governor is yet to meet the conditions as at the time if filing this reports, and there's no likelihood of him fulfilling all of them. The implication of which he may be remanded pending the time he's able to perfect all the conditions.
"As I speak, Fayose has not been released finally because he's yet to perfect the bail conditions. It's very difficult to get someone that is ready to do that till the end of the case because I am not so sure if Fayose will not end in jail. I learnt he never made any confessional statement on the matter and the EFCC is ready to probe the case beyond reasonable doubt. And all of us know how Fayose himself has complicated his case with his outbursts against the present administration. So, it will be very difficult for him not to end in prison which will eventually deny him participation in the forthcoming election."
